What is CommUnity Connect Louth & Meath?
CommUnity Connect Louth & Meath is a community led positive mental health and wellbeing initiative created by Healthy Louth and Healthy Meath, in partnership with local community groups and organisations across both counties. The project was developed through public surveys, focus groups, research, and co‑design workshops, ensuring it reflects the real needs of people living in Louth and Meath.
It was established because mental health emerged as a key issue locally, and many people said they didn’t know what supports or activities were available in their area. CommUnity Connect Louth & Meath brings this information together so communities can easily find reliable support, stay connected, and promote positive mental health.
This website has been created to reach even more people by providing easy access to up to date, evidence based information on positive mental health and wellbeing, tailored to communities across Louth and Meath. It is designed to be clear, accessible, and community focused.
Through the resource pack, the CommUnity Connect Louth & Meath Network, and trained CommUnity Connect Louth & Meath Champions and now website, the project supports groups and individuals to take simple everyday actions that build stronger, healthier, more connected communities.
We are delighted to work in partnership with the HSE on this initiative, helping ensure the information provided is accurate, trustworthy, and rooted in national best practice.
